FAWN Help

fawn-3567260_1280.jpg

Unfortunately, we do not currently take fawns/deer because of our lack of facility/space. Thank you for understanding.

Fawns found alone during the day CAN BE NORMAL. Mom deer leave their babies in a "hiding spot" during the day while they graze and come back at dawn and dusk to feed them. If the baby appears robust/alert and has no wounds or flies swarming it, please wait and watch for mom to return.

IF THE BABY APPEARS INJURED, WEAK OR IS BEING SWARMED BY INSECTS, PLEASE SEEK A REHABBER.

DUE TO LAW: FAWNS FROM OUTSIDE OF KENT COUNTY CANNOT ENTER THE COUNTY (DUE TO CHRONIC WASTING DISEASE MANAGEMENT) IF YOU ARE OUTSIDE OF KENT COUNTY PLEASE SEEK ANOTHER REHABBER ON THIS LIST FROM OUTSIDE OF KENT COUNTY FOR ASSISTANCE.
